Is it even possible? F#@& yeah it is.

A young woman, 28, came to the gym this sunny morning for a workout plan. She had already lost ~50 lbs. but continued describing herself with “lots of flab.” I assessed her and gave her a weekly routine. She had one question- “I just don’t see myself getting toned. Like I see other people doing it but I just don’t see it happening for me, is it even possible? For ME?” I could see in her eyes how much pressure she puts on herself. With this statement/opinion/question, I smiled yet I felt sad. And I told her that.

I told her to get all that negativity out of her head. Don’t think of yourself that way or you will not get better. Stay consistent. Consistency is key. Stay motivated. Do your best and in time you will see a difference. Be patient.

With the volume of appointments I usually forget names the moment they’re out the door, but the honesty and sincerity asking for help earned her name a spot in my memory. I have high hopes for her, and I’m looking forward to her progress.

Motivation. Consistency. Patience. !! :)
